As the built environment fundamentally impacts people’s lives and the planet’s health, our mission is to positively transform the building processes, building industry and built environment of our region. Through the consensus process, and by drawing upon the experience of stakeholders in the building industry, we will:
1. Promote the cost effective design, construction and operation of buildings that are:
- Healthy places to live and work;
- Environmentally responsible; and
- Economically viable on a lifecycle basis.
2. Serve our members and communities by:
- Developing industry standards;
- Promoting best practices in design and technology usage;
- Advocating green building policies;
- Encouraging and facilitating information exchange and education; and
- Work for better diversity and opportunity for our fellow citizens.
3. Encourage the widespread acceptance and use of the LEED Green Building Rating System as both the regional standard and as an integral component of all building projects.
We strive to enhance the state and regional green network by providing educational opportunities to our members and building professionals. 1. Your logo (up to 10,000 pixels) placed on our web page’s CALENDAR section – for two weeks in association with the web-based announcement of a particular event. Immediately below is a representation of the space occuppied by 10,000 computer display monitor pixels. Send us your logo sized to 10,000 pixels (plus or minus a few) or we’ll take your logo and size it for you! Remember that it doesn’t matter what the width and height of the rectangle are as long as when multiplied the total is 10,000, plus or minus a few.
